Well, here goes my first review.
This band is a quintet from Boston. They are called The Carrier.
I picked up their new 7″ titled “No Love Can Save Me” off of Deathwish back when it came out. I didn’t listen to it right away though. Just until a couple weeks ago, I popped it on my record player and listened to it. Beauty followed.

No Love Can Save Me 7"

The first track titled “No. 51″ has an amazing bass/drum intro. I love melodic hardcore, this album delivers. The lyrics to “No. 51″ are about the world coming to an end and how nothing can save the last person on earth. No. 51 is a fictional train that people take to find a salvation for themselves. It relates to a vice someone would use to get away from life. So you could see why they name the song and album around it.
The whole album has powerful guitar riffs and and towering lyrics. I would really recommend picking this up. The Carrier has had I think 4 previous releases prior to dropping this album. The artwork looks really good. It is done by two guys named Ryan Eyestone and Ken Stewart. They have done some pretty amazing art in the past. You can check out both of their work at the links below.
This band rules. Pick up their new 7″ on Deathwish.
The Carrier is going on a 3 day run with This is Hell in early October.

Let me just give you the run-down. I live in central Illinois, amidst the pumpkin factories and cornfield mazes. I collect vinyl records.

While creating this blog, I had the intention of reviewing records that I have purchased.

I worked at taco bell for a good 5 months of my life. My YTD earnings topped off at over two-thousand dollars. I have used most of this money towards the purchasing of records. I am still looking for many records though. Anyway, I buy around 3-4 records every week, I still have one last paycheck coming in.

I am currently in a couple band projects. Nothing serious, but I give it my best.

I have a somewhat varied music taste. Almost all of my vinyl is either hardcore or pop punk. I also listen to alot of thrash, punk, metal, etc., etc. Currently I am really into The Carrier, Cold World, and Trash Talk. Expect reviews almost immediately.

I also rant about life occasionally.

I hope that anyone who reads this enjoys it.

Stay tuned
